Wiggins smashes Evans in Stage 9 Time Trial

Brad Wiggins is the big favourite to win this years Tour de France after his victory today in the ninth stage time trial on Monday.  Wiggo rode in yellow for his first ever stage win in any Tour de France.

It was a big day for Team Sky with teammate Chris Froome finishing second, 35secs behind.

Cadel Evan’s, last years GC winner finished way off the pace 1.43 behind Wiggins.

Wiggins odds are 4/10 to win the tour with Cadel way back at 4/1 now.

Wiggins overall lead is now 1.53 over Cadel who is still in 2nd overall. Froome moved up to 3rd overall after todays performance.

The race now has a rest day tomorrow before Stage 10 and the higher mountain stages of the alps begin on Wednesday.
